Wireless Report Rate?

Hey!

Recently got a Logitech Pro X Super Light 2 Mouse, All seems fantastic so far with my preferred DPI set to 1600.

But I'm wondering, What does the Wireless Report Rate do? It goes from Min 125hz all the way up to 8000Hz. (Default set is 1000hz)

appreciate the feedback :)

If the mouse isn't physically moved enough to generate a sufficient number of motion events (for 8000 Hz at least 8000 pixels worth of motion per second), fewer updates will be transmitted, resulting in a lower effective polling rate. Accordingly, it is strongly recommended to use a sufficiently high CPI step in conjunction with the Pro X Superlight 2. I would advise using at least 1600 CPI, and possibly even higher steps depending on one's effective in-game sensitivity (turn circumference). The higher the turn circumference, the more physical motion is typically generated, and thus lower CPI is required to saturate the polling rate. Conversely, the lower the turn circumference, the less physical motion is generated, and thus higher CPI is required to saturate the polling rate. On the Pro X Superlight 2, there is no smoothing across the entire CPI range, so any value can be used without a latency penalty.

Basically tweak it to see what suits you best but it's really likely that it will depend on the game or application you are using what is most useful.

Try polling at 2000 as no need to go higher really, it just drains battery life quicker, dpi @ 1600 should be perfect.

It's how many times the sensor reports its position per second. More noticeable with higher refresh monitors (360hz+). Not really worth the trade off as higher polling rates come with lower fps due to heavier CPU workload, and also much lower battery life on the mouse. Stick with 1k or 2k polling.
