Im a complete wireless network noob but I want to set up a wireless network so I can connect my 360 so that I can stream divx to the lounge. I want to connect my main computer to the router via a wired connection as the cable modem is only a foot away from the computer so its rather pointless making it wireless (computer is in the loft room). Anyway, is there any throughput issues with certain wireless routers that would cause any issues with streaming divx ?? Thanks

edit: currently Im looking at Belkin wireless G+ MIMO and wireless N MIMO.

Cheapest way to do it is have the router next to the 360 and have it wired. Then get a wireless PCI card for the PC and have that wireless.

To have the 360 wireless you need the official wireless add-on rip-off thing that's about £55?

Your divx etc will stream fine over normal 54g. I can stream 720p files over my 10/100/1000 LAN/ 54MBPS WLAN (not via 360) so it should not be an issue, in terms of raw bandwidth/throughput. Obviously unless you have a stable connection and good signal strength you may get the odd dropout, but I guess that is why you are buying the MIMO equipment.

I personally would avoid Belkin wireless products, from personal experience. Netgear is OK and so is Linksys/Cisco in my experience.
