wireless router needed good range essential

i need a wireless router but really need it to have good range as our house is horrible for wireless. what kind of thing should i go for?

Any router with removable aerials, then just replace the stock ones with some unidirectional high gain ones. Could also download DDWRT and adjust the transmit power. DIR615 is great.

that doesnt really help lol is it a problem considering oc dont sell them?
i buy all my pc hardware from oc

Our house seems really poor for wifi too , i was wondering if theres any kind of ethernet/homeplug to wifi add on for routers ? so our router would transmit wifi but i could also plug said device in and move it to the other side of the room/house for added coverage

is there such a thing ?

Can't you just plug the homeplugs into one of your spare ports? Or are you using all of them...

yeah i could but then i cant plug the other end of the ethernet into our phones ;P

basically when we sit in the outhouse or garden we lose wifi signals on our blackberry and HTC desire,weirdly its not actually that far from the router but does go through 3 walls, we spend a fair bit of time in the garden on nice days so thought id try to find a solution because i hate the idea of using all our internet data allowance when we are only a few feet away from our own wifi router

then plug a wireless access point into the other end of the homeplug...or move the router closer/more central.

cant move the router but will look into access points

or you could have course just use cat5 to an access point....the choice is yours!
