wireless router probs

hello,

got myself the Netgear DGB111GUK Wireless 54Mbps ADSL Modem/Router & USB Adapter Bundle for my tower and laptop but when i plug it in the wireless and adsl light do not light up i am using pipex 8mb service but have been having a few probs when i start my pc up the adsl light on my old modem flashes for about 2-3mins and i get a no dial tone error this has been happening for a while now does anyone have any ideas howto fix the problems please,

Need more info, but as a start you should check out your phone line, cables and microfilters, these get damaged by various means.

Simplify, unplug all phones, all filters, try different sockets and cables with just the router operating into the master socket with no filters, check if anything works.

Possiobly check with your ISP that thers no line fault on the phone.
