Usually I don't bother with any security but recently I have noticed 2 networks in my area. I'm wondering what is the best method of security to use? I have a Netgear WGU624.
This is from my router:
Security Options
* Disable - no data encryption
* WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) - use WEP 64 , 128 or 152 bit data encryption
* WPA-PSK (Wi-Fi Protected Access Pre-Shared Key ) - use WPA-PSK standard encryption
Also I was wondering is there a way to just restrict network access (there was an option for this on my old Linksys router). I think it uses pre-defined MAC addresses for what to allow and not. This would be perfect.
Any help is welcome thanks.
<edit> I've found the Wireless Access List and added our 2 computers that are using wireless. How secure is this?
