Wireless router to wireless router - HELP!!

Ok here's what I want to do, hope some of you IT guru's can help...

I have a netgear DG834GT as my main router, hooked up to my main pc via ethernet cable and attached to the phoneline too. All works flawlessly.

I have a laptop downstairs that can connect to the netgear router via wireless BUT not all the time. The signal appears fine yet it loses its connection form time to time.

So...I have a 2nd router (Zyxel 660HW) that I would like to use as a booster for the wireless signal downstairs. Thus connecting the Netgear and Zyxel routers together but WIRELESSLY.

Can it be done and if so HOW? I can get them to talk via ethernet and everything works fine but not via wireless, help and old guy out please.

You need to able to tell the second router to act only as an access point instead of a router. Knowing the 660HW, I'll be very surprised if this is possible.

The two routers will also need to be able to handle wireless bridging - I'm certain that the 660HW cannot do this

cant you disable DHCP on the 660 and have it act as a switch?
