You had me for a couple of minutes. I almost pointed it out to a colleague but caught myself just in time. :p

Although that said, I don't see why this wouldn't be possible to make? It would probably have to be a little larger sure, but still. Would be good for connecting HDD's in an external enclosure etc. :)

I assume it'd be transfer speeds would take an impact.

Midday is past so April Fools over here so I will post in this thread.

Nikola Tesla was going to give world wireless power.

My toothbrush charges tough the plastic stand/charger using magnets I assume (neither parts have metal contacts).

I remember they talked a few years back about a mouse mat type device that plugs into mains and you lie your phone/cordless drill etc. on the matt and they charge.

The charging mats have been out for like 5 years

e; From a quick google, Powermat Technologies has been out for 8 years.

Mats aren't contactless so they aren't wireless in the sense most people mean anyway. They don't have any of the benefits.

Just gone through my product reviews...

I bought 50 of these, and it's been non stop hassle with constant wifi conflicts and data corruption. They also seem to emit a deadly dose of micro radiation. I had a raw chicken and some eggs on the counter and in true ghostbuster style the eggs started to cook on the counter top (quite impressive to see) I now also have a perfectly cooked chicken (which was surprisingly moist and delicious) oh I also found my cat dead on the kitchen floor, I hated that manky bugger so every cloud right?

These are absolutely brilliant only gripe is they aren't Sata III, just need to get a wireless power supply sorted as well.

Having put an order in for these in 2 weeks when they arrive, I expected a far long wait but as a testament to OCUK's service, they appeared on my doorstep near immediately. As for the product itself, I can proudly say that my computers hard disc drives are now safely stored in a cupboard far from the dangerous hot parts of the computer for safer data storage, this has also made my computer lighter, which is a major help when I want to go camping but have to have my fill of gaming before going to bed. A top product, well done OCUK :D

This product has literally changed my life. No longer do I need worry about finding a spare Sata cable, with these wireless connectors, this conundrum is conveniently solved. With their robust 2m range, I can also accomplish other tasks whilst transferring data from spare drives at arms length...such as struggling to reach the remote control because I don't like Homes Under the Hammer, or haplessly trying to prevent the cat from destroying my sofa.

Anyway, you need this in your life.
