Hello.
In short i am just wanting to pick some brains with regards to wireless security.
The transport company i work for are looking into a project that will need to transmit black box type data from a vehicle to a wireless access point of some sort.
Obviously, not using wireless in the first place would be more secure but this is not an option.
What i am wanting to know is, what is the best way to securely transmit data?
Obviously, the first things that are looked at are the usuall. WEP, WPA, WPA2 + MAC filtering.
I for one, can't really fully trust these.
I am by no means a wireless expert (hence this post). However, hearing about packet sniffers, MAC spoofing and other security vulnerabilities, is there a way to fully secure a wireless network.
If not, i am maybe thinking infra red or bluetooth. Are these securable transmission type that could possibly be used? But be used securely?
Budget is not really an issue. If there is something out there that could do the job for a price, i will still be listening.
Thanks for your time.
Bobster.
