This is getting worse with my wireless router Netgear WGT634U, the wireless signal just seems to totally drop out yet all the lights on the box are fully lit up green showing no problems. I have to actually power cycle my router to get the wireless signal back this is becoming more and more frequent now and happens almost once a day if not more. Is this a sign of the router on its way out?. I noticed the neighbour has recently got a wireless router as I can see his unsecure network :p his is on channel 1 where as mine is on channel 6 so I doubt it could be interfering?. Any ideas?

Sure its the router? Does restarting the PC reset the connection? Maybe windows update has picked up some 'new' drivers

As above trying a channel well away from your neighbours is worth a go.

Depending on the courntry settings in US 1 6 and 11 have minimal overlap OR in UK 1, 5, 9 and 13 have minimal overlap.

Also check to make sure there no new electical device or power cable near the router or PC Dodgy power supplies or motors have destroyed my connection before now with cure being to move ro replace them.
