Any one of your network experts help out on this one?
Been at a neighbours this evening who have purchased a "Zyxel G202" wireless router with bundled USB dongle.
Installation went a breeze, but I was surprised when after everything had been set up, it still didn't work.
After a while, I found that the "Windows Zero Configuration" service wasn't running (they're using XP Pro), so I started it, and told it to automatically start upon reboot.
Lo and behold, it all worked. Reset the PC, everything came back on but the service didn't start again, thus, no internet.
Went back into services, restarted it (made sure I'd definately set it to automatic), and it all worked perfect.
The problem is, this happens all the time now. As soon as the PC is reset, the service doesn't start up, you have to literally enter the services and start it.
I've checked Event Viewer - nothing.
I've watched XP boot to the desktop, the little Wireless icon in the tray come on and about 30 seconds later have a red cross appear. IT works for about 30 seconds, you can quickly 'jump onto the net' but then it stops.
Anyone know if there's anything that could cause this service to stop working?
