Wisdom Teeth

I've had the two tops ones out I didn't even know the dentist was going to do it he just said "oh we'll have those out" and an injection or two and one hefty yank and it was out. Had the other done a week later. Didn't feel a thing.

The bottom two are still there and I wish he'd taken those out tbh, they're only partially erupted and get infected along the gum every so often, sore as hell. Needs some hefty scrubbing with the toothbrush to clear it out, plenty of blood.

Ya, got all mine out, forget how old I was, they were still under my gums... My sister was funny, she kept saying "There goes my brain" after she got her's taken out...

Had a tooth knocked out playing rugby which made space for one of my wisdom teeth so as a result I had 3 other premolars removed to make space. I have 4 wisdom teeth.

Fear my wisdom! :p
 
Have one on the right bottom which has decided to half grow out and sit there. Cheeky so and so. When all the other ones are grinding food and stuff that one just sits there watching.
 
All 4 removed in hospital using power tools and a hammer, hooked roots, impacted, one of them badly infected by the time it got removed, the fully lot.
I now have a numb patch on the left side of my tounge and lower jaw cause it damaged the nerve getting them out (A risk I was told of at the time) but I would have let them chop my leg off if it would have stopped the pain I was in before they took them.
 
I only seem to have one wisdom tooth, and it's come through fine. I can feel noticable gaps where the others should have gone, but didn't appear though. I guess I'm lucky.
 
I recently had the top and bottom removed via general anesthetic at a local hospital after years of discomfort.

Between 3 dentists I've had in the time they always aired on the side of caution and said if it's not agony it's best to let them sort themselves out. When I asked about elective surgery / removal said its a definite no as you can't just ask to have bits of your body removed because you feel like it, there has to be a genuine medical reason which was news to me.

I was quite worried about the risk of nerve damage after looking at the x-ray but thankfully by having it done in a hospital
1. I got assigned a facial surgeon who did far more complicated facial surgery than this 2. It was free, my NHS dentist would have charged a me over a hundred quid.
 
Im having one on the top right taken out next wednesday, it hasnt bothered me even but its in a bad place for brushing etc.
