wise upgrade for a 8800 GTX SLI

Gaming at 1680x1050 and thinking about upgrading the graphic setup with preference for a single solution, what do you think would be a wise cost/performance upgrade?

Well I don't have a limit with the budget which does not mean that I'm keen to spent thousands of pounds. My idea is to get rid of the SLI setup, at least for the moment to improve temps in my case, I live at Spain and it's beggining to be hot. And also having in mind that my resolution is not going to change so I don't really need 295 or similar setups. Maybe a GTX 275 would be a good decision, I'm not too much for the Atis to be honest

A 260 for what I've been reading would be pretty much as my SLI so I will tend to look for something with a bit more longevity and power but not too much

Well it looks it is down to a 275, bit better than a 260

Well a 260 SLI was my first option but the idea was also to go for the single card road but maybe I will think about it again, cheers
