Just a heads up guys, where children are concerned feelings can run a little high, try and keep this thread cordial 
Some people get dealt a **** hand in life, all you can do is help people where you can but unless you're some billionaire philanthropist you should be worrying about yourself first and foremost. Negativity breeds negativity and watching videos like that usually just give you a negative outlook on society instead of triggering anyone to help.
I never understand the mentality of people who:
A) Film those videos
B) Watch those videos
C) Share those videos
Why would you or anyone else want to sit and watch that?
Videos like that don't really bother me though if I've unfortunately been shown one in the past, including ISIS videos - as I have no emotional attachment at all to the people it shows.
Would be a different story for me if it was animals though as I like them more than people. Probably why Im training to be a doctor and not a vet, simple switch 'off' at the end of a shift.

I don't see why we (the "west") always get the blame for every evil that happens in the world. It's not like David Cameron, Theresa May, Obama etc set out create civil war and kill thousands of children. The world just isn't that simple.

A lot of journalists, photographers and videographers see it as doing a job. Many really struggle with it as well, but know they can do more good by getting these images and information out there, even if it means getting PTSD and nightmares.
Not everything is rosy and green in the world.
Meanwhile, Russia deploys its entire Northern Fleet so it can continue to absolutely level Aleppo and everyone in it. You won't find much criticism in here about that though, it's too complicated to comprehend, so they just bleat "the West are baby killers m'kay"
The thing is that Russia does it and doesn't attempt to be above it all in some glorious liberal crusade (technically does not attempt to report on it either, but that's a different issue).
Russia wouldnt be there if we hadnt tried to destroy a perfectly stable country.
Then sell up all you have and give it to the Syrian Children appeal fund?

Cameron, May, Obama were all politicians when 9/11 happened and all part of the system that voted to go to war.
Also the entire "it's not our fault what America did", is the whole problem. We individually act like nothing we do matters because it's someone else's fault. All of America feels that way about themselves also, they feel they have to get involved because of what is going on over there.
Britain was a huge supporter of America in the build up and carrying out of setting the entire region back 100 years with constant interfering, really for centuries, but very much since the 60s.
When you keep overthrowing leaders and causing civil war you are the reason that infrastructure is repeatedly destroyed and progress is never made.
They hate gay people... well so did this country. We caused one of the countries greatest ever minds to kill himself because we didn't like that he was gay. Now imagine how engrained that thinking was in the 50s, and imagine if schools and all our infrastructure was destroyed via a civil war every 10-20 years, imagine how little progress we'd have culturally and how much our culture and society would feel like having revenge for who helped cause those civil wars.
Britain, America, much of the west is all responsible for how the middle east has progressed(or not) in the past 50 years and pretending we aren't responsible is why it keeps happening.

Im not sure these cultures value children the same way we do in the west.
Sorry, but I think this is the truth.
The guy who let his child drown on the boat in the Mediterreanean, not sure many EU parents would let this happen or do this to their child.

If you look too hard the world is a **** place, just do what good you can and dont worry about it, sounds blase i know but you cant save every child, nor stop war, and worrying about them isnt going to help them but it is going to hurt you.
