Ok so i am awake, i have cleared my table and got my anti static strap.

I am going to be transferring my pc into new case :S

If i never come on line again bye :P :o

DISASTER

pc doesnt fire up at all :(

Anti static strap is urmmmm to stop static. Connected it to radiator

I made a bit of a "boo boo" on the mobo you have your front panel connections for power button, hd light, reset etc. i got two them the wrong way round. Didnt realise, i have tried to power pc and dead. Realised my mistake, changed them to correct way. And still dead.

I have checked fuse in plug thats ok..... so now i am stuck lol

My pc know how is mega limited. I took photos and everything seems to be correct.

Have i fried the mobo or something

ANY help or pi** taking would be nice :D

Take your 24pin psu and 8/4 pin connector off the motherboard... Connect the green and any black pins on the 24pin connector, if your psu starts then you've taken that out of the loop.

Next, remove any extra items from the motherboard, 1 stick of ram, use onboard video if you have any, remove all hdd's and optical drive connectors.

If its still dead, then you are pretty safe to assume the motherboard or cpu has died.

Just grab a piece of wire to connect those pins... When you power your motherboard it creates a link between those pins to start the PSU...

If you can put a pc into a new case, with good cable management, and routing, in 10mins. Then that is quite amazing

100% agreed

when you say connect the green and any black pins would i have to take them out of the molded plug?

Oh dear

My fav tool is a paperclip. unbend the paperclip and insert each end into a green and any black wire of the psu's 24 pin plug. Then plug the psu in and turn it on. If it's working, the fan should spin up.

joking aside, putting the connectors on the wrong way will not fry your board

Also true, this should have cause NO damage what so ever.

Bios reset is always the 1st place to go. Also may want to check that EVERY cable is plugged in correctly.

Is there nothing happening at all when you turn it on? Any fans spin up at all, even momentarily? Motherboard light on?

I just grabbed a paper clip and bridged two connections.

Black wire and green wire next door to each other.

Things powered up like fans etc

so what does that mean lol

Plug it back in and try again?

If fans still spin up, do you get any beeps? Could be the board or the GFX card, tried the other port on the GFX card for the monitor connection, and, without trying to make you sound stupid, is the monitor turned on? (It's been known to happen...)
