With no graphics card??.......

Still aint got my graphics card, but i'm DYING to build my new rig!!!!!!
I wanna build it RIGHT NOW! -but i dont want to build it if i cant use it???
i.e. i aint got my graphics card yet-will i be able to view it and use windows when its built at all?????? :confused: :(
 
Unless your motherboard has integrated graphics, then it won't even boot up without a graphics card installed.

that mobo doesnt have onboard gfx ;)

Why not just build the machine anyway. Then when the graphics card arrives you'll only have to add it and install the OS.
 
With no graphics card installed on a mobo with no onboard VGA where exactly would you plug the monitor into? :confused:

Also, if you have an old PCI graphics card am I right in thinking this will work with that mobo? or does it only have 64bit PCI slots? as most mobos used to have normal 32bit slots (at the bottom of the board, white) where all but very few PCI cards would function...I think the other slots are PCI-E and it doesn't have an AGP Slot.
 
how ironic, my pc been turning off every now and then lately, and coming straight back on, and thats why i thought of building tonight then straight after i write this thread-it just turned off and took me all this time since my last post to come back on :eek: :(
The DS4 handbook, just says the 2 slots at the bottom are "PCI1" and "PCI2", be good if my mate rang me back and had a pci card that worked!

also- what order would my build be done in if the mobo wont boot without the card installed?, thought it could be added later???
 
can you tell by the way i'm posting how bad i wanna build it tonight!!
I'm on nights in work tomoz, so i gotta stay up tonight-perfect night to do it, and also because of this pc dying all the time!
I SO WANT TO BUILD IT TONIGHT!

and what does "somebody in the mm" mean????

Never seen any in a supermarket, although I guess mega super markets could.

The large PC retailer is probably closed now.

So you're going to have to wait.
