WMP 12 ... a joke!

Just does what it wants... i have un-selected every folder for every categery of media (video etc) yet it holds all my pictures still.... i highlight them all and delete. *wmp is now working* a minute later its done nothing there all still there.

all i want to do is put folders of video in so i can stream to xbox... was simple on wmp11 - not broke dont fix it ¬!

It was broken though. It didn't play popular formats (mp4, avi etc). WMP12 fixed this tbh as did the WMC included in W7. They both played all the above mentioned formats flawlessly and reliably with no added codec packs. Sorry that I haven't answered your question though. I recommend rebooting and then trying however.

sorted... cleared the data list from 'appdata' and started again.... although i dnt like the fact it syncs with your windows files. if u put a folder under pictures for example it will sync them into wmp.

It doesn't if you set it up properly, shockingly enough.

You need to define which libraries you want wmp to look in and/or exclude.
