WMP11 seek bar not working . .?

I am using WMP11 to view certain AVI's ahem. I am now unable to seek to more interesting parts of the videos. When I click on the seek bar the video starts again.

Is this a K-lite codec problem?

I can't find anything relevant in google.

Anyone?

Would also be interested to find the cause of this.

Had it happen to me in the past with WAV files, every time you clicked the seek bar it would restart the WAV.

I thought it was a codec issue but never got to the bottom of it.

Had this a few times, usually means the file is corrupt

Perhaps but every file seems to be the same after a while. Initially they play then the seek bar stops working.

Re-install WMP11, or re-install the codecs, or both.
