Just a quick question guys, this is for owners of the E8500 only,
I installed an E8500 into an Asus P5N32-E SLI - The Cpu cooler is a Tuniq Tower using Artic Silver 5.
The temps never seem to get lower than 45c
I have re-seated the Cpu 3 times and the temps have remained the same. For those of you with the same set up its a real pain as I cant reach the thumb screws so this involves removing the MB. I have phoned Intel technical support and they have said that the E8500 does run hotter than the other Wolfdale Cpu's ie.. the E8400.
They also said that I'm using a Beta Bios 1403 and that this bios could not be reading the correct temps from the Cpu.
Any other people using the E8500 and if so what are your temps
