Today i installed Wolfenstein New Collosus. I am getting driver display crashes in main menu especially when alt tabbing to windows. Recorded 4-5 crashes in main menu or alt tab to windows. But in game ( 3d ) not single crash. Only in main menu. 1080 TI FE stock

Crash dump is : C:/Windows/LiverKernelReports/Watchdog

Its only in main menu or alt tabing to windows. Game ( 3d ) its fine. So propably software issue not hardware?

Screen from event log:

My pc:
6700K stock no oc
16GB DDR4
Corsair 750 RM
Gigabyte Gtx 1080 Ti Fe no OC
Asus Z170-P

drivers: 388.00

I only crash when I try to change the RES like many others, after that I cannot see menu only set up initial brightness and Exit.

I can Alt+Tab and Alt+CTRL+Del without issue.

When i load game its fine. No crashes,no freezing. In game ( 3d ) its fine.

Only main menu , when i am playing with settings or alt tabbing, then randomly it will crash.

Not only alt tabbing. If i change some gfx setting and apply then sometimes it will freeze and crash.

Any ideas? Hardware or software related?

Game is a mess, no doubt why Steam forums are lagging today.

If you can deal with kiddie comments I would read some of the stickies for a fix.

Hotfix is primary for Kepler, another for other cards will be next week.

I deleted my game Config so I could again see the menus and disabled Asynchronous Compute.

Restarted game and set RES to 4k and restarted game again (just for good measure) and then set all setting to Max (I did not know there was one notch higher than Uber)! :)

Game runs fine for now but too soon to say for sure.

I read it helps Nvidia also (think Matt said so) but I could not change the RES or I got a restart of PC (old BSOD pre Win 10).

Then when I went back in game it asks me to set up brightness again and all other menus were gone bar Exit.

Somebody said with GTX 1080 said:
"No, the game is stable for me. I had no crashes at all with alt-tab, changing graphic settings, changing resolution or with long hours of playing."

He said that him game never crashed to him on main menu. So what now? My is crashing TDR only in main menu on random moments or alt tabbing or applying gfx settings. And i met few peoples with 1080 ti with the same issue.
