Women screaming for no reason...

Yeah a lot of women seem to do this, it's as if they think putting on a mix of a victim complex and general idiocy will net them men and make them look clever.

Slags.

Actually that does make sense, you may be on to something here, (except the look clever part), men have a instinct to want to protect the damsel in distress so by screaming like their in danger it may actually somehow attract men to them,in a primitive way of thinking.

But yeah, that's my problem, I don't mind them screaming, it doesn't bother me, I'm not an old man who hates noise, what really winds me up is that someone could genuinely be in trouble, either being mugged or raped or attacked but with so many girls screaming for no reason it makes most people ignore it.

It's an interesting point really.

These days if I hear a car alarm I just ignore it - every time I've turned around it's been a false alarm. Every time the fire alarm has gone off at Uni it's been a false alarm or a test, so I ignore it now. Screams are usually drunk students, so I ignore them. Etc.

Because they've 'cried wolf' I am now desensitised to the screams/alarms.

why do they scream anyway?

even sober girls/women seem to scream etc, i can understand yelling a word like "yes" when something good happens etc but i don't think I've ever heard a man not in pain/some sort of real physical event yelling "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH"

Agreed.
The only real way of getting help these days is by shouting "help ", that's the only thing I would not respond to screaming because the chances are it's a girl looking for attention.

Well when I say "look clever" I mean it seems to be seen as trendy to imitate Sex and the City and the like and think "If I do this, I'll look cool!" Not directly that line of thinking, I'm struggling to explain myself here but I think it comes down to trying to fit a stereotype of how women "should be" in their own eyes, but nothing is more offputting than someone of the opposite sex staggering around drunk screaming that they just made a not particularly funny joke.

OP why don't you hide in the bushes and give them something to scream about?

when i was at uni there was outrage when it was suggested retarded female students should stop screaming on nights out because it made people ignore genuine screams for help during attacks.

and tbh it's true after the first few weeks you just give up and ignore the screams.

apparently though this suggestion was taken as women may be partially to blame for attacks that go unnoticed and as such was an utter disgrace and anyone who believed they should only scream bloody murder if it actually was bloody murder was a misogynistic rapist.

Thanks for teaching me a new word :) It seems this forum isn't a complete waste of time :p

I seem to remember during the Joanna Yeates murder investigation that neighbours heard screams coming from her apartment but dismissed them at the time as nothing more than rowdy students.

Pointless screaming has to stop in order for women to be able to reclaim it as a survival tool.

Every time it gets you down, just remember that they're going to die young from liver disease anyway.

I make women scream every day.

A kill-switch-backfire from a 1600cc V-twin engine with unbaffled drag pipes does the trick every time. :D

Funny story, I used to install and test fire alarms.. anyway, we'd been working nights and I was wrecked, so had gone to bed early.

Awoke to the fire alarm going off and ignored it

2 minutes later it hit me.. it could have been real! It wasn't. Just some chavs smoking in a lift. Oh and, thanks for making me stand outside in the snow.

Reminds me of the fire alarm we had once in the house we had for the first year of uni. Some ******** decided we'd enjoy a fire drill at 4am without ANY warning.

One guy slept through it ><

Living in Doncaster... its common place to have drunken girls dressed like whores going around town screaming and screeching at everyone and anyone. Its a good reason to avoid going anywhere near town on a night.
