Why are they so fickle?

I have quite a few female friends, and it constantly astounds me how little they seem to care about anyone and how much backstabbing goes on.

I have a friend who tells me absolutely everything about everyone (so I tell her nothing about myself...) and constantly complains about everybody, but as soon as she is with them she is nice as pie and complains about everyone else.

Another one only speaks to people randomly but gets annoyed if she thinks you arn't speaking to her.

Another one randomly hates people for doing such things as 'looking at her funny' or 'not laughing at her jokes'.

You don't see this so much with blokes, and it is really frustrating. I mean why are they friends with half the people they are if its only so they have something else to complain about.

That's because it's mostly women who backstab in the first place lol.

I know what you mean though. Most women I know can be extremely two faced about their friends. They're not all like that though I'm quite lucky to have two female friends who are very chilled about things.

Yeah but 20 minutes later the blokes would have bought each other pints and be discussing footie. Instead women would be plotting ways in which they can make each other look stupid...

Liverpool on a saturday night. By god you do, the most vicious fights are often by women.

basically, wait for them to grow up a bit. most lasses are soooo fickle and ****** until a certain age, then they actually grow up. Thats when you really want to consider them as friends for longer than the time it takes them to have a mood swing.
 
One of lifes little complications I suppose.

There are some people out there who will never really tell a person what they think of them, will be very nice to their face, and gossip behind their back. Maybe they really do think they are being nice.

Id much rather know what someone thought of me though.

As you say more often than not you might be friends again after 20 mins, atleast they were honest in the first place though.

I'm quite well known for these now, I apologise for annoying everyone...

Even worse is I got to see the evil cow who those other threads were about in a few weeks. My mates got a pool going on whether she is going to try and pull me again.
 
Don't confuse women in general for these females you are friends with. They sound particularly dim, even for women.

It may perhaps be an age thing. I don't care what any females say, I would place money on a 20 year old male being far more mature with regards to the feeling of others than a 20 year old female.

Most girls my age seem to operate on the principle that the world revolves around them, whereas most blokes seem to care. I wonder at what age it switches...

see, where i worked (up until today :)), there was one or two right bitches and the rest were dead nice. might be the small (<25 person) office, but meh.

So glad I found me current gf, despite me being 19 and her being 18, shes dead mature, and as geeky/active as me, sooo much in common, and shes not the sort to backstab anyone.

You can't just lump everyone together under one big generalisation like that.

Maybe the 20 years olds you know are like that but I can think of plenty guys I know above that age who are generally immature about everything and then a few below that age who seem really mature. It's down to the individual.

Or maybe you just need new friends.

I definatly need new friends. Can't wait till uni starts again so I can get some (friends and other stuff...).

Ahh I see the problem here... you mean the smaller version of women here, not women but, umm, I forget what they're called...
