Wonders of the Universe

Seems to be getting into the meatier bits now, nice description of the laws of thermodynamics, not that I would know if he was being accurate or not :o

Right, not happy, 5 minutes of vaguely interesting content and 30 minutes of absolute waffle and now we have reached what seems to be the level of GCSE physics.

Ooh diddums! Have I insulted the hero of geek fanboys?

The programme is crap. Absolute ordure. It's told me nothing.

Not at all, I was just replying in a way that you might understand as you appeared incapable of forming a sentence without hostility or insulting.

Someone please remind me.. did I watch a history/nature programme or was that supposed to be a documentary on the universe?

Total lack of content.. might as well make the documentary 15 minutes long and show only the last 15 minutes which finally concentrates (but very loosely) on the subject!

Terrible first episode.

Yup.

Fail programme, just like that skywatch bs that was on a few months back.
It's a shame bc he's an intelligent chap and knows his stuff, just seems like the BBC are aiming their programme at 5 year olds.
Half of it was watching him lookin at the sun all dreamy eyed! I'm glad he's got a few holidays out of this, but dont rub it in.

His script was **** poor aswell, and explained so many simple things badly

Admittedly most of it was pleasant waffle and pretty images, but once things got going it was nice to get an understanding of the concepts he was explaining. The whole tone of the episode was pretty dark, but so was the nature of what he was putting across. It was also interesting to learn about Red Dwarf's too, as I had no idea they'd last so long.

As for the angry folk. What did you honestly expect from prime time BBC 2 on a Sunday night? :D
