Wont post =(

Hairy Christmas!

Hello all, long time user of OCuk but first time poster

I have an issue where my comp wont post, lights all flash up fans spin but no beeps or anything; no display on the monitor.
Ive tried:
a diff GPU
diff monitor
diff RAM
tried disconnecting all but the basics on the board and even tried running the board outside the case but to no avail.
Specs:
COre 2 duo E6850
OCZ 2x2GB PC2-6400C4 800MHz Dual Channel DDR2
EVGA GeForce 8800 GT 512MB Superclocked
Samsung SpinPoint T 500GB SATA-II 16MB Cache
Asus P5K Premium/WiFi-AP Intel P35
Corsair TX 750W ATX2.2 SLI Compliant PSU

Any ideas?
Ive heard that there is a compliancy issue with the P5K and some samsung drives but im not sure how credible the source for that info is =/
The GPU is rulled out, whats the likely hood that its either a CPU/MOBO or PSU issue?
Any info you guys have or first hand exp with this would be appreciated.

Check to make sure there's not an auxilliary power connection to the motherboard that's not been connected?

have you tried booting with 1 ram stick, had a lot of trouble with my asus board and 4gig of ram. Does the same thing as yours.

sometimes to get mine to post i haveto take a stick of ram out then increase the ram volts save and restart, put the 2nd stick in but volts back jsut above normal voltage save and restart. And it works

Cheers guys, had a check for the aux power connectors but it all seems fine.

Tried one stick in all four slots thentried the other stick in all four slots but nothing unfortunately.
Is there a compatibility issue between asus mobo's and OCZ RAM?
I love my asus board wen it works =(
Strange thing is ive never had any problems with it before, but one day i turned it off and it would turn back on again, and id just bought L4D on steam!!!

does your mobo LED light up? does the computer keep restarting?

Yes the MOBO light is on, im not sure if the comp is restarting it just seems to continue to have lights on fans spinning without interuption. When i hit the power button it turns off immediately without hesitation tho if thats any help :confused:

No i must admit i havent tried that one... surely without the cpu nothng is going to happen

Easier to take the RAM out, and see if it beeps incessentantly at you.

Tried booting with no ram, but nothing happened. I take it that its either PSU or mobo related?

if nothing happens then your mobo is dead, if it beeps constantly then your cpu is dead
