I bought a 360, I didn't really intend to use it for gaming, just as a media center. But it came with CoD3 and I have to admit it's rather fun. That could just be because I love CoD2 I guess, but I'll be certainly renting a few games from the local DVD rental place. Live isn't available here alas, so I don't get access to game demos. :(

One thing I have noticed is that where all the stickers were on the front of the console has left that horrible sticker residue on the drive tray, which is already getting covered in dust and looking horrible. What would you guys recommend to clean it off? I'm loathe to use IPA or Acetone based cleaners until I know if they'll damage it or not, and a warm damp cloth wont shift it.

Strange that the stickers have left a residue, they should be the type that just peel off and leave nothing behind

Bought a 360 thread and there is already a big deal about stickers

You guys moan about anything and everything! (there's me moaning about people moaning about stickers :p)

I would like to moan about you moaning about people moaning.

So there. :p

Please don't get my thread locked. :p

I'd really like a solution to removing the sticky sticker stuff. I've tried searching the forums for any past threads on this, but there's nowt on here about removing it.

I'm actually quite impressed by its MP4 video capability which is new since I last had the 360. It plays MP4 files that the PlayStation 3 dismisses as "corrupt data" so I am well chuffed.

I just used a damp cloth to remove it on mine. Eject the tray first to avoid getting any water in the console if the cloth is too wet though.

I got a 360 recently too, I am more than impressed with it.

I thought it'd look rubbish as I don't have a HDTV yet, but it looks amazing!

Love everything about it! MS + 10 points!

WD40 will get rid of any sticky label residue with ease mate. Welcome to the 360 world :)

You don't need any liquids or cloths to get the sticky stuff off. Just rub your thumb over it really hard and reasonably fast and it will all come off. Then maybe give it a wipe but should be ok without.

Same thing happened to my mates, it also happened to my HDD. Very annoying.

I'll second that. It works wonders on anything ranging from plastics to books that have those horrible, sticky, price tags plastered on them.
