Well, after one unsuccessful application, my second has ended up with a promotion!!!:D

From Monday, I am no longer an Assistant Manager, i am a full Retail Branch manager for HSBC!!

Down side is that it's a 50-mile per day round trip so I've had to buy a diesel:(

Upside is great carrer development, more cash and private medical:D

50 miles per day doesnt require a diesel. 50 miles round trip will only cost you about £6-£7 a day in a petrol car maybe less depending on your car.

Congrats.

Great news :), hope it goes well, is the 50mile commute a night mare or is it on uncongested roads?

WOW thats great, still a much underrated benefit. If I was on an ok wage I would much prefer that than a pay rise.

Congratulations mate but if your having to consider a more economical car for that short trip on a bank managers salary then i must be a financial God.
