WoooHooo Extension Tubes!

My kenko extension tubes arrived this morning and just had time to have a quick play inbetween work. So excited I thought I'd share them with you guys

So far soo good, although you have to be amazingly close to get in focus...

All of these are uncropped too!

I dont have a problem with spiders at all, I always rescue the mrs from them, but looking at that first image bothers me a lot.

My work doesnt involve spiders! They are just some random ones in the garden. Quite worrying when you see what they look like close up!

The setup was, all 3 kenko tubes and my 100mm f2.8 macro lens on the 350d.

I'm very interested in getting these kenko extension tubes but I need to know few things.

Can you attach these to any lense e.g prime/zoom/telephoto?
If I was to attach it to e.g 50mm 1.8, will it give me decent result?

This looks like a great lens, and at a pretty good price too! Great job with the pics, the first and last are definately my favourites.

Nope. I used a sigma 500 super flash on a cord. Works ok, but would love a ring flash sooo much!

You can use them with a 50mm 1.8. A 50mm is prob the best lens you can use with them. You will get excellent results with them!!

Its just your quality of your lens... at a much closer focusing distance..

A good cheap option

Sooo, Extension tubes just make a much closer focus range? How much do they cost and why 3 in a row? How high can you go? :O

they are about £80-100 in the UK for the Kenko.
From HK around £45-55 + delivery £10-20. Not sure of import tax

The picture SDK posted has been playing on my mind! Now I really want a ring flash!!!!!!!! Would be sooo nice not to have to worry about the tripod/holding a the flash i have close to the end of the lens etc, its a heavy set up for one hand! Not to mention trying to keep steady and in focus at the same time!!!

Hmmmm.... ring flash....

oooh, so if i get the 50mm 1.8 which is around 70 quid i think, and one of these thingymabob's:

Teleplus DG 2x MC7 Convertor

Ive affectly got a 100mm lens which is just as good, while saving around £100? (bar the macro feature of course)
