If he was going to lie, he could have said £500,000, but he typed a lower amount with a specific number right down to the 80p, and also said some other quite specific things which I find convincing:

It tells you on the lottery site the exact breakdown of the winnings after a draw.

No one won the big prize. More for me next time :D.

I remember his previous extreme good fortune thread where his dad "gave him a free house"... ;)

Like I said, I'm happy to be wrong but I'm not convinced (nor do I have to be, it doesn't matter but I thought I'd give my opinion). No doubt we'll get the "I don't have to prove anything" line and that will be that.

I think only account holders can legally have access to named bank accounts, i.e. your dad should not have a card and PIN if he is not named on the account. On a practical level I don't know how this would be caught but it's such an easy workaround to achieve the very thing you're trying to avoid that I'd be astonished if the banks didn't have this loophole tied up. Maybe The Halk has more idea from a fraud angle.

You might be right actually. Donning my sherlock holmes deerstalker, I notice Jaffa made 7 posts between 11.14pm and 12.44am, then again at 2.25am. For someone who's just won quarter of a million, it seems odd he's on the forums at all and not out getting completely ratarsed. Even his last post at 2.25am is too well typed, no signs of slurring his fonts at all.

I live in Crewe but not really a huge follower of Football so only been a handful of games in the last couple of years - I went down to Wembley though of course. ;)

And that's fair enough I guess! Get amongst the Crewe Casuals. :D

This is normal Merlin, every time i win over 200k pounds i let all know and not jump on all major sites and start shopping like crazy. Then text all my mates letting them know when the next party is. And do not book in few weeks later the months holiday in Ibiza.

I only do the above if I win over 1 million pounds.
