Alright guys getting Vista Home Premium 64bit on Monday one problem I have is I wanna be able to use word do I have to fork out more pence to use a word processor?

Legally, either you pay for the license for Word/Office or you choose to use a different word processor. If you're looking for a free one I recommend OpenOffice. I use it on most of my machines and it's darn good.

I woulda thought vista has wordpad but its nicer to type up things using Word, Suppose if you took the naughty route you'd end up getting your vista cdkey banned?

openoffice is really bad. i'd pay the money for office 2007, it is excellent. although just for occasional word processing then i guess openoffice will do.

I didn't think the latest MS Office home and student (2007) required proof of student status - "Home" being the operative word really. Anyone can use it as long as it is not for Business purposes.
