Wordpress ftp woes!

Failed to connect to FTP Server ftp.paulthepumpkin.co.uk:21

Any idea why I get that? I can log in to my ftp just fine through cuteftp, cmd ect ect...

Probably an issue with your home PC or ftp client. Give FileZilla a try, can't really diagnose without more error messages.

Do you get a response if you open cmd and run: "telnet ftp.paulthepumpkin.co.uk 21"

Use cuteftp at the moment, just annoying is all, would be easier if wp did it for me

What are you trying to do?

Are you by any chance talking about a Wordpress FTP plugin refusing the connection?

If so your webhost is probably blocking the connection.
