It's a ******* recipe or an instruction. This massively ****** me off too.

The one I'm most up in arms about at the moment is "actually." Not everything is actually, it often just is. One of my lecturers did a 2-3 minute video on her course and she must have said actually every 5 seconds or so. It was like, "So what you will actually learn is how you can actually manage people, and the actual implications to their actions on HR policy. Actually." Shut the **** up!

Yes because the OED reflects how people actually use the language and not how they should should use the language so the prevalence of uneducated numbskulls means literally now also means figuratively. I literally exploded when I heard about it.
