Work contract

Little advice needed, my gf started her new role in the same company at the beginning of September, she was told verbally that she would start her role at the same pay rate she had previously and then a pay rise at 3months then another at 9 months.

She hasn't however had her written contract come through yet, even though she's been hassiling the HR department for a few weeks. So naturally she's worried that she won't get her pay rise (gave up her part time second job thanks to the coming pay rise).

So where should she go next? I've told her to demand it and create a fuss, but what if this doesn't work?
 
Firstly chill out, do nothing until such time as she actually doesn't get it, no point kicking up a fuss when nothing has happened yet. Then if she doesn't get it a quiet word with the line manger is the start point and then esculate as necessary. Getting upset and demanding things is not the way forward quiet reasoning is. If she was promised these pay rises then they she will almost certainly get it if she is polite and sensible. If not she's more likely to get the boot.
