Usual one for me, although I seem to be the only one who does a proper one in our company, I just copied my old companies layout as I thought it wasn't bad:

[LOGO]
Name | Role
Company Name | Address
Direct Telephone Number
Support Telephone Number
E-mail
Website

i think signatures are very handy in the work place,

specially if your new to the company or need direct dial number to the client.

mine :

Names :
Company websites :
Telephone :
Work Mobile :

Address as have more than one office for different things

But I'm wondering if really it's just a waste of text and a bit arrogant.. So do you want people to know your 'rank' and title or do you think that once you get to a certain stage it's not an issue? Certainly none of our higher-ups seem to bother..

why would you bother if people know who you are already... tis a bit pointless putting a sig on a mail between colleagues, could be useful on e-mails to clients though

in terms of format - surely you ought to have a standard template for your company?

I sigh when people put BSc, MSc etc at the end of their name in their email signature.

I once got a mail from someone with: MBA, CFA, FRM on his sig... which ordinarily might look like he was trying to show off, but since he was working in an IT support role it was more sad than anything - he's just advertising to the world that he can't land the job he wants

*** So True :D
People assume you are qualified to the right level, and if you show your hugely over qualified, then they will think the above. :p

Ours is;

FirstName LastName
Role
Mobile: <mobile here>
EmailAddress

Most people however drop the role, our clients know what we all do anyway through project work and various calls.
