Work in Australia, Pom Rate

If you read the T&C's and actually think about it, this is a pretty poor promotion - it's only of benefit to people who are already looking to have a working holiday in Australia. For the unlucky people who don't get one of the promotional tickets, it appears to just be a way of boosting travel to Australia.

In order to take part in the promotion, you must first have a valid 12 month working holiday visa (which I think costs £149) and then be one of the first people in the queue at one of the STA Travel branches. If you go and buy a visa in order to take part in the promotion, and aren't one of the first in the queue, then you'll need to buy standard price flights to Oz - otherwise you've just thrown away 150 quid on a once in a lifetime visa (you get a maximum of one working holiday visa for Australia in your lifetime).

As I say, great if you were already planning on going, but it's a massive risk for anyone who's decided to go based on this promotion.
