Last night went to turn on PC. Nothing, as if it was unplugged from wall. No PSU fan, LEDS nothing.
Check cables etc, everything fine.
Thought it was the PSU burnt out, due to the climate, so brought it into work this morning and attached it to another rig and it worked fine. After scratching my head for a while, i can only conclude that it must be the power-on switch on the front of the case.
Does this sound correct ?
I am gonna swap the connectors around with the reset button, failing that, use the tip of a screwdriver to see if I can start it up that way.
Would I be right in thinking that the PSU HAS to be connected to the motherboard before issueing power to the CD drives, so when the system is switched on from the front of the case, the PSU then delivers power to all components connected ?
