Is this trial through the notorious A4E?
What is the actual work doing? Sounds a farce after 1 months unemployment...

Thought about animal charities like the Blues Cross?Yep, it's really bizzare you'd expect them to respond extremely quickly but I haven't heard a word from a charity store I shot a few CV's at.
As you're being referred to a work program via the Job Centre, I assume you're claiming jobseekers and that this is a work experience type thing.
If you're not claiming income-based JSA, unpaid work trials are illegal in the UK.

Work experience? I've got plenty of that. Especially for menial minimum wage ones. Even apprentices get paid, a paltry sum. So seriously, this is either illegal or grey area shady crap. But I can't say no or I'll probably get sanctioned. So I'll be doing 40 hours of work for £50. These companies must make a killing for not having to pay for people.
Get stuck in and do your work trial, while your at it contact any charities to help out or contact local business and ask if you can volunteer for experience. This will help you with finding another job, anything to make you stand out from someone who has been laying around doing nothing while looking for a job.

Lol, they don't even respond to inquiries.
Will you still get your Job Seekers Allowance or whatever they call it these days?
Yes, but the wages owed will exceed that in a day and 1 hour into the next day.
They won't owe you wages because its work experience.
If you want to keep your job seekers do you not have to jump through the JSA hoops? (I know you are doing this it was a question looking for an answer)
How many fit women at the place they want you to work for a week ?
Cannot compute answer till above question is answered.
