So who decided it was too cold to lug them selves to work this morning ? :)

I normally have to walk 2.5m on top of a 40 mins train journey and as this is my last day till new year I decided (with my bosses approval) to work from the comfort of my bedroom :)

Only problem is I now have the distraction of wanting to go make a snowman in the garden lol

Nope, no excuse not to make it in today. Sure, I had to spend time clearing my car and we did get 5-7cms but the roads were gritted and apart from a bit of careful manoeuvering to get out of my road it was fine. No excuse for not getting to work unless your single mode of transport availalbe to you is not working - everyone is in today albeit a little late, even I got in after 730, but that doesn't matter (I don't have an official start time, advantages of being relatively senior).

2nd of Feb this year was a different story as we were unprepared.

i tried to get to work, nut after spending an hour and half getting as far as it would take me 20 mins, i decided to turn round and work from home this morning, with a view of going in this afternoon...

it my office xmas dinner tonite as well...! :(

The combination of adverse conditions and a car alternator on it's very last legs (you should hear it! :( ) meant that I didn't even start the car for the 50 minute commute, I wasn't going to risk the alternator failing. The only trip I'm making is the one to the garage tomorrow morning.

Blizzard conditions at 7am so I went back to bed and am working from home today. Based on what happened in Feb it's pointless (and dangerous) to try and get into work. Have about 8cm of snow on the ground too.

I never work from home, I can if I wanted but I know I would get too distracted so always come in to the office :)

im working from home today but for entirely different reasons.

I got second degree burns on my shoulders due to chilling in the pool at my house for 6 hours in the blistering heat on wedenesday. Thankfully the doctor signed me off work for a few days

We have very few staff in at the moment so it's not very busy and just got an email saying its closing at 2.30 today so i'm glad i didnt make what would have been a 2 hour commute to work.

My record is usually pretty good, first time i've not actually been into work since I started there in February :)

Do you live on the platform? :p

That's miles not metres  :D

Lovely and sunny here with practically no snow (light dusting yesterday early evening) ... hence no reason not to go in. It's my last day in this year and my laptop was at work anyway so I couldn't really work from home anyway.
