Hi, I'm in the process of setting up a new web shop and I'm trying to work out postage costs, for general small items up to 1Kg that can go through the post I've used the royal mail price guide, however when you get up to 3Kg I suspect citylink or business post will be cheaper to use. Does anyone know how they work out their prices? I cant find anything on their web sites.

If you're looking at a business then they'd do a business rate, and might be dependent on the amount you'll send.. I am not sure.

AFAIK it will go on weight and size.

its going to be adhoc to start off with until business picks up, so I need to be able to call them and pay as and when, but I'm trying to work out what the prices are likely to be,

The parcelforce website will calculate a postage cost based on weight, size and destination.

Not sure about other couriers.
