Working today?

I'm at work. There are three of us in the building. It's quiet. I am an hour in. There are 8 more hours to go. Now what?

Anyone else in? What are you doing? We're going to put some posh coffee in the coffee machine and probably get some takeaway for lunch. Tomorrow we're going to do our best at a cooked brekkie using nothing more than a kettle, toaster and microwave. There's a plate of cheese that needs eating and I'm sure a bottle of port might have to marry to that and there's a bottle of Pimms that needs drinking. It's just the drive home later that's stopping us...

I'm working, which sucks. Appears none of our customers are though as the lines are dead. Not taken a single call yet. I'd like it to stay that way too.

Not much to do though as there aren't many people in. Think i'll just do a bit of surfing and i have a book to read

I didn't say it was a holiday, but most people have taken it as one, as they normally do between Christmas and new year. Hence it's very quiet here, stop disturbing the peace with your big loud voice

That's about the size of it for me too. I have numbers to crunch and I just don't feel in the mood for crunching first time I've worked between xmas & newyear for about 7 years.

I decided to go in this year mainly because I have figured out that those that go in during the festive period do little work anyway so why waste some of my precious annual leave taking it off when I can save it for later and take other days off when I would need to work much harder!

I'm working, place is like Swan lake its so tranquil.. might bugger off at dinner, i'm on call so if anything hits the fan I can rush back in.. lol

Hardly any traffic on the roads, commute was quite pleasant

Lots to do for me today. I have several Citrix servers to build for a go live date on the 2nd of Jan. I have purposely left this work until this week knowing I would have little else to do - there is barely anyone in the office.
That said I will be done by 15:00 today if it goes through trouble free thus leaving me with nothing to do tomorrow. I might work from home tomorrow.

Yup i am at work today was expecting a nice quiet day aswell... untill a customer rang saying one of their machines in London has gone down which they need fixing right away

Yup at work, it's not quiet, it's uber busy after Christmas day, yesterday was busy but fortunately I had the day off.

I've been in since 07:45 and will be until around 16:00. My boss has just shown up so might have to do some work now but I had all the issues from the last couple of days sorted by 08:15.

Now he's in I suppose I should stop listening to my iPod and reading my book.

(although unfortunately he has said if things remain quiet I can work from home this afternoon and tomorrow which means things will probably hit the fan in the next 20mins or so)

8.45-5.30 today systems analyst and the office is virtually empty, there is around 7 of us in today so I think Ill be using my co. plastic to order us either a pizzahut or subways.

I'm working, well i'm covering the helpdesk anyway. I'm the only one in the office and i'm sat playing poker at the minute, will get bored fairly shortly though i can imagine.
