Hi all,

Know this might sound a bit odd, but can anyone recommend any decent, hard wearing work trousers apart from jeans? Needs to be warm.

Thanks

I know Caterpiller and JCB do working pants of sorts. Kind of like combat pants but much more weighty and thick, plenty of pockets. Makro sold them, or at least they did last time I was in there.

Best trousers.

Have you considered long johns? It sounds silly but I bought some a while back for when I want to wear my armoured jeans on the bike but it's just too bitter to get away with them, and they do great. Me and my friends have worn them under motocross gear as well when it's really in the dead of winter. They're comfy, they're warm, and you can wear whatever you want over the top, it's worth considering.

Can't recommend much that will take as much abuse as thick jeans other than some heavy cotton overalls over what you're wearing. Overalls over what you're wearing will definitely keep you toasty warm. If you want REALLY warm overalls look for tank crew overalls at your local army surplus store. Should set you back about £50, thick cotton with loads of insulation for driving tanks with no heating in the Arctic :D

i just bought a pair of regatta lined combat style trousers.

i work in a very cold garage and these are awesome.

hightly reccommended.

think i paid £20 for them, well worth the money.

Snickers I wear Snickers trousers day in day out at work, in fact many of the lads I know wear them. Great wearing trousers, I couldn't couldn't go back to wearing jeans at work again.
