Try moving to France .

Wife moved to France without any fuss. Qucik registration and that was that.
Biggest issue is when she then tried to get a US visa because her passport was German they wondered why so was living in Paris and then demanded proof, but since she rented there is basically nothing.

Let it be noted you brought up the elephant in the room first.

It is a plain fact, the EU makes peoples like the OP lives much easier and ensure good talented workers can be productive within the UK without wasting time and money on needless paperwork where the only people who win are the lawyers charging 300eur an hour.
