Does anyone know or have any info on whether switchboards are going to become obselote when the 0845 numbers come in?

Just a rumour I heard, and may affect someone I know.....

Being a businessman myself, Ive got to say that the 0845 numbers will have a big impact on a lot of people.

I too share your concern that these 0845 number will take over the world.

I hate 0845 and 0870 numbers, they're a con! Can't call them economically from mobiles, and the 0870s can't be called economically full-stop.

First call centres are inflicted upon us, and now we're being scammed into paying for them!

I thought 0845 numbers were charged at local rates? Is that the same on mobiles?
