One of our buildings got robbed

did anyone else picture @if returning to work the next morning to find a large space where his place of work should have been?

My first impression when reading the thread title as well.

The story so far:

Last person to leave at 6:45, saw the cleaner approx 6:20.
Chavs arrive outside at 6:30 dissappear for an hour or two
Cleaner finishes at 8pm apparently leaves fire exit and main office door propped open
8:08pm Chavs filmed coming up fire escape, and leaving the same route 10 mins later with laptops in hand

Result, Cleaner has now been fired on suspicioun off aiding theft. There's no actual proof that she did prop the doors open but nevertheless the Chavs did get in somehow.

It's amazing how far you can get into places you shouldn't be just by acting like you should be there and people not challenging who you are.

Quoted again as it happened at my place of work. Someone had left a side door open and this bloke walked in a stack of papers in his hand. He must have passed and sadi hello to around 30 different people before stealing a laptop and walking out. That guy had some balls to do that. Result is that if anyone is seen without a badge we have to ask them to leave  like they'd listen to me.

Bit of both I'd imagine. Internal security is just as important as external but is normally pretty lax.

MY old colleagues and I perfected how to sell all-in security systems and philosphies...

We handed the MD or head of security his own laptop.
