World Cup 2010 - Quarter-finals **spoilers**

I feel the current brazil team isn't what it used to be with the likes of ronaldo, rivaldo, ronahldino and roberto carlos. With these guys the brazil team was totally different. So far I have only seen lucio who has played better football than rest of team mates.
Sorry for my ignorance but why ronahldino didn't play this tournament?

i pray to good god that someone SMASHES Holland, whether its ghana, uruguay, argentina or spain or bloody paragauy hey why not even the germans

That game was in no way fair, it was ruined by a referee who complety failed to keep up with the game, robbens (frankly disgusting) fouling and various other dutch players. They pushed brazilians in the back while they were on ball, attemted blatant handballs and dive left right and centre. bastos didnt actually touch when he 'fouled' either. IF there was ever a better candidate for referee having video screens it was this game, and i cant see how anyone who even likes football can say any different. granted brazil had a bad half but tbh i expect i would as well if my players were being sent off while i was being bombarded with fouls and so called Fair Play...FiFA are a joke and that referree should never be anywhere near a game again

Partly because he's not as good as he used to be (a tad slower, still lazy, doesn't 'drive' his runs as much which can result in him holding the ball up a lot) and mostly because he won't track back.

On the evidence of the squad unveiled by Dunga at the start of the tournament I wondered if it was a mistake.

On the evidence of today, Ronaldinho would have been a million times more effective than Kaka.

I have to agree with the comments about the referee failing to card Dutch players for persistent fouling. It was particularly ridiculous late on. I wanted Brazil to win today and I'll side Uruguay or Ghana against Holland in the semis (I'd prefer Uruguay to win tonight). By the same token, I don't like Spain...a Holland-Spain final would upset me greatly.

The defending team were so confused though they just stood and watched him blaze it over, Brazil today were a bit more switched on.

I can only assume that's what Holland were attempting unless Robben has a twitch in his leg. :p
