**World Cup 2010 Sweepstake - The Draw**

Those of you who've been around long enough will know that we sometimes run a sweepstake for the big tournaments and if we get enough entrants we could do one for the upcoming WC.
In the past the entry fee and winnings have all been an amount of posts taken from the entrants but as Gilly ran off with the keys to the Admin cupboard we probably won't be able to do it that way this time.
Has anyone got any ideas what we could use for entry/winnings instead?:)

We wouldn't be allowed a custom avatar or anything along those lines and I can't see any other Admins offering to help but I'll ask Wolfie anyway.

Werewolf has agreed to do the honours with the posts, so shall we say 100 posts for entry then 2000 for the winner, 1000 for runner up & 3rd place gets their posts back?
The winners could always run a post auction or something for charity too :)

You have now:p

The entrants will all pick a team by random (usually just by numbers) and have 100 posts deducted from their postcount and the one with the winner or runner up etc. get a share of the winnings (3200 posts in total), ok the posts are worthless but it's the taken part that counts right?;)

We can have as many entries as we like, iirc in one of the previous ones we had double the amount of entrants to teams with 2 people having the same side :)

Not forgotten at all, I'll be running the draw so I'll know which numbers are Spain & Brazil ;)
 
Probably, someone could pick the team for me I guess.

I put Big Kev & Rotty in provisionally too, I assume you both want in?:)
 
OK, here's how we'll do it.
I've passed a list of teams and corresponding numbers to SPW just so no-one can accuse me when I win.
Just pick a number from 1-32 inclusive but look at the posts above you (or the OP) and don't pick a duplicate, when the first 32 have picked we'll start on the duplicate numbers.

Firstly, someone pick a number for me and one for SPW :)

Shall we give it until Thursday evening, that'll be a week, and if anyone hasn't picked by then we'll get someone else to do it for them :)

(For instance, if JohnnyG, Big Kev and Rotty and I had posted in that order saying we wanted in, but hadn't picked our numbers, and 6, 13, 18 and 24 were left, that's the numbers we'd get)

I make it 48 entrants so that's 4800 posts.

2500 to the winner
1500 runner up
800 3rd place

Split if there are multiple winners :)
