Not exactly relevant right now but for those interested, in 8 years it's being held in the US, Mexico and Canada. Notably, 'the tournament field is expanding to 48 teams, which means there will be 80 games in all, with 60 of them in the United States, while Mexico and Canada split the other 20. ' That's going to be a fantastic world cup. The final is expected to take place at the 87,000 capacity MetLife Stadium, home of the New York Giants and New York Jets. Be funny if USA failed to qualify again.

I don't like this multiple hosts thing. Makes sense when it's a small country that probably couldn't manage on their own, but USA pairing with Canada and Mexico? Seems a bit too widespread really.

So this'll be 40 years since the last one in Mexico and 32 since the last in the US. Is that a big deal? Wasn't the alternative Morocco which was super risky given the amount of building work needed? It was literally just Morocco and USA/Canada/Mexico who applied, no? It couldn't have been Europe or Asia because of Russia and Qatar... so it had to be Africa, North America, South America, or Oceania... the latter two didn't have any applicants.

I don't understand how Russia can be classed as a European country, since most of it is in Asia?

But we do know that FiFA has been rotten to the core for years so, should we be surprised by their choices?!?

England should do a joint bid with 47 other Commonwealth nations, great chance of winning the World Cup with hosts taking up all of the places.
