Ok, round up of 2morows games, i would like some thoughts on my betting.

Have to play 50quid -

Play for the england win full 50 quid, 8quid return.
Or
Play 7quid for the draw and make 50quid, whilst having the remaining 43 on the win, winning me back the 7quid. (basically a free bet on a draw, unless T&T win :eek:)

Sweden Vs Paraguay - Dont really want to bet on this cause they both show abismal performance and it could go either way.

Ecuador Vs Costa rica
Id go for rica on this one, but i dont know these teams well enough, so probably just gona stick it all on england, shame its such a poor return.

Thoughts?

Oh yeah, i completely didnt think that through, id only win my money back. lol, somehow i thought in my head id come of with 100quid. :) dumbass.

All on england then. Anyone think the risk of 50quid on them winning, is too risky for a potential win of £8?

Im think slow safety bets are the best way to accumulate a fair bit of money from nothing, i started with 10quid i have done this now since day one about, 4 times each time all winnings on next game, untill i lost it all on france and had to start again, im now up about 20quid.

I like those odds on us winning by half time though. Just not sure, i might stop betting as its kinda ruining my world cup enjoyment, that last game nearly made me cry:D

Problem with your so called 'safety' bets is that you wipe out your entire pot if the short odds team doesn't win hence making all bets before that pointless.

True. but this is why i chose teams which its almost impossible for them to lose. Ie. italy, iran or england t&t, lowering the risk to nearly nothing, and acumulating much larger funs the more its works.
I could put 5 bets on 2morow with low stakes, and lose most of it.

Id like to hear a safer solution, or a better bet for 2morow?
I know betting is all about risk, but this way is working to a degree.
Its a catch 22 situation, high stake, great odds of happening, low returns, vs low stake, rubbish odds of happening, odds high returns.

You appear to have ommitted your freak 1-0 loss to Northern Ireland? I'm sure no one was expect that to happen? In fact the odds for England were even shorter for that match than for tomorrows match.

There is no such thing as a sure thing :rolleyes:

And yes regardlesss of the stupid rolleyes, i know that i am betting!!!
But if there was anything close to a sure thing, and winnning £8 it would be this surely?

Ive still yet to hear a good bet for 2morow? i am only suggesting something to get some money.

13 or more corners at 2.45/1 - Stick 20 of your 50 pot on it.

My reasoning behind this that England should be doing a lot of attacking via the wing and whipping the ball into the box. This style of play usually results in many corners as the opposition team will a) block Beckham's crosses out for a corner and b) head the ball to the safety of behind the goal.

Also with Gerrard and Lampard's feirce strikes and the lightness of the ball the keeper will parry many shots wide and over the bar for a corner.

I wasn't having a go at you mate, I just don't think an 8 quid return is worth 50 quid of risk. Poor value.

I also think that the bookies have been giving the punters less favourable odds then any other soccer touranment I've seen to date. Rip off odds.
