Fifa World Cup draw: Cape Town, Friday 4 December

Pots for Friday's draw: eight groups of four countries to be drawn, each group containing one country from each pot.

Pot 1 (seeds): South Africa, Brazil, Spain, Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Argentina, England

Pot 2 (Asia, Oceania and North/Central America): Japan, South Korea, North Korea, Australia, New Zealand, United States, Mexico, Honduras

Pot 3 (Africa and South America): Ivory Coast, Ghana, Cameroon, Nigeria, Algeria, Paraguay, Chile, Uruguay

Pot 4 (Europe): France, Portugal, Slovenia, Switzerland, Greece, Serbia, Denmark, Slovakia

I really hope England get a decent group.

Im hoping the facade on Cape Town stadium is ready by friday. At least it will look 'complete' to the media

Internationals often bring the best out of the "smaller" teams.

Hoping Ghana or Ivory Coast get 'easier' groups. Would like to see an African team do really well this time. Oh and North Korea too!

Yes.

The difference in quality between the unseeded teams is almost scary. Ivory Coast, France and Portugal would all be very tough to beat.

I want a group where England will be challenged, and have to play some good teams.

I don't want an "easy" group, the Media in this country are bad enough, when we beat nothing teams by a couple of goals, winning in an "easy" group would mean we are going to win the World Cup.

ha, done a similar thing in 1998 in school where we drew a team out of a hat and then profiled them for the summer as a project on the world cup, i got Chile, i remember Marcelo Salas bagging 2 against italy in the first match, peaked too early and got a thumping from brazil in the last 16. ouch.
