Aside from Brazil, I can't really see any easy games in the first set of matches so I can't see any obvious teams to pick players from. I think Italy and France may trip up this year so I'm not picking too many players from them.

Damn thats an excellent idea...just put Hernandez (MEX) in starting 11 and as captain..will see how he does later...if he flops...will just sub him!

I read it that any additional subs cost you 3 points, apart from the one free transfer you are allowed ?

I think you are confusing subs and transfers.

Subs are unlimited (well, 11 I guess) within a round, whereas transfers are in between round with only the first free.

i was just reading the rules with a mate and we were joking about how bad it would be if my captain got sent off...

yep, he just got sent off :( and he's my goalie, so i'm not allowed another goalie or captain for the rest of the tournament (I think:confused:)

I had Julio Cesar ready to replace him too, so unless New Zealand manage to score against Brazil then I've lost out on 20 points or something.:mad:
