That's the most annoying thing. Had Sven taken Defoe, Vassell, or hell, even Heskey, you just know that he'd have put them on instead of Crouch there. But not Walcott. So why take him, really?

Yeah i hate to say it but i really think although the team we have should be good enough, we just got too many players that dont seem to cut it on the international scene. Lampard and Gerrard, both the at the top of their trade, best midfielders in the world imo, but on international level, they're not half as good.

Beckham although hes a work horse and a vital part in the team just seems to have lost his eye for a long ball and pin point accuracy in his pass's. Joe Cole is having a great world cup though, but 1 out of 4 midfielders playing well isnt gonna cut it. You cant win any match without a good midfield, and at the moment thats what we're lacking, we've just managed to scrape it so far
