Brazil did the same with Ronaldo in 1994 and look what he did for them in 1998 & 2002 :)
 
True, but they also had enough cover in case Bebeto or Romario got injured, it would appear we don't.

They probably also had the intention to use him if the situation arose, again something it would appear we aren't willing to do.
 
Eriksson took Walcott as his legacy. Walcott could conceivably play in 5 world cups, maybe even as a world class player, Eriksson wants to be remembered as the man who blooded him in.
 
The passing seems to be rather sloppy atm, I guess they're getting knackered

I really wanna see Lampard score, he deserserves one from all the chances he's had
